To produce these two pieces, I consulted with program leads, conducted independent research, and then scripted, filmed, and edited content. I also wrote a <em>River News<\/em> article called <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tuolumne.org\/river-news\/flooplain-restoration-at-la-grange\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Rocks, Riffles &amp; Floodplains: Restoration Creates Salmon Habitat on the Tuolumne<\/strong><\/em>.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#94c6a0;color:#fffde8;font-size:16px\"><strong>Going Fishing!<\/strong><br>Video media catches an emotional response. I included these inspiring and ready-made pieces in press outreach and social media storytelling, earning a story-rich feature on KQED&#8217;s <em>California Report<\/em> and interest from notable fly fishing clubs inspired to get their members involved in the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-color\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kqed.org\/news\/12015907\/salmon-restoration-taking-shape-in-tuolumne-river\" style=\"color:#79b487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TRT on the California Report<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Floodplain Restoration Along the Tuolumne River: Flood Resilience for People &amp; Fish\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6nHNO1fNthI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">The La Grange Floodplain and Salmon Habitat restoration project is a landscape-scale habitat recovery project situated along the Lower Tuolumne River in the Central Valley. Here, gold and gravel mining changed the makeup of the river, reducing <strong>Chinook salmon populations down to 1% of their historical numbers<\/strong>.
